Frederick Douglass
Frederick Douglass’ story is a story of legends and myths…but his is an actual story.  A story of a man who was once enslaved, escapes to his freedom and becomes a world celebrated abolitionist. Storyteller/Puppeteer/ Actor  Akbar Imhotep portrays Frederick Douglas and shares this fascinating journey of how he liberated himself from mental and physical slavery and his mission to free others.


Growing Up
Malik is an African-American teenager growing up in Atlanta. Like  many teenagers he is finding his role and identity within his community. He is also reestablishing his relationship with his father-who he now has to live with. We see the journey of Malik as he navigates through his community, peer pressure, gangs, school and his relationship with his father.  One way Malik deals with all the pressures of growing up is writing lyrics. As his journey evolves so does Malik's lyrics. Ultimately revealing his inner journey of growing up as a teenager in Atlanta...

The Rebellion-Nat Turner
In 1831, Nat Turner led one of the most notorious slave rebellions on American soil. Over the years he has been revered for his courage. He was also a man who had deeply held religious convictions. A man who once, escaped from his plantation but returned because of a religious prophecy. He would later lead the slave rebellion because of those same religious convictions. This a story of a man who was a complex and courageous figure in America's history.
